Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Greetings to you in the sweet and marvelous name of our Savior Jesus Christ.
Hope International Christian Fellowship (HICF) was started on April 24, 2005. It started in our home, and then after few months we moved into a school. For the last 6 years, we have been worshipping in the Auditorium at Paint Branch High School, Burtonsville MD.
The vision God has given us is to be a House Of Prayer and Evangelism(HOPE). He has called us to minister to broken people. In the last 6 years, God has brought many broken people who did not know the Lord to His saving knowledge. Presently, we are over 100 people from 8 nationalities worshipping together. We have endeavored to stay sensitive to the Holy Ghost and let Him lead us into the areas of ministry that God wants from us. We have been very strong in children's ministry for we realize the youth are the lifeblood of many churches. Our VBS ministry has multiplied over the years. Starting with 6 kids, the last one we had 119 children. We have come to a point where we need a dedicated place where we can grow all these ministries. This year we were expecting over 150 kids for VBS but we had to cancel our VBS as we could not find a rental space/school during that period.
This has resulted in us praying and searching for a place of worship. God has shown a property to us and the price is very reasonable. The cost is 350,000 for the building. This structure is not ready to be used right away. We have to spend about 150,000 dollars to fix it up. This includes putting up bathrooms, tearing down the walls that have mold, plastering the foundation, carpeting, installing chairs, wiring, lights, and so on.
We ask you if you could help us in this endeavor. You may ask what do you want me to do? We would ask if you would prayerfully consider sowing a seed for the cause of this ministry. If we get 150 partners who can contribute $1000.00 we can achieve it. You may say "I can't afford to give that much". Any gift will help, and as we add up what comes in, each time it reaches $1000.00 dollars it goes to make up one of the 150 one time gifts. We feel that this ministry is good ground and believe that anyone willing to support this endeavor will be greatly blessed by God for their generosity. We are a 501c3 nonprofit corporation and all donations or gifts are 100% tax deductible.
